August 4, 2026 - Defend Democracy; Delete Doordash; Dog Days
Donald Trump has made it clear that he will take whatever actions he can to override any election outcome that he disagrees with. There are more than a dozen ways MAGA is attempting to subvert the elections, from purging the rolls of Democratic voters, to sending armed “observers” to voting sites, to manufacturing doubt about the counting process.
So activists this year are not only campaigning in support of candidates, but also taking actions to fight for free and fair elections.
Indivisible has taken the lead in grassroots efforts to safeguard the election. Their biggest focus is on 7 battleground states (MI, OH, AK, TX, IA, NC and GA), but they are active in every state. You can learn more on their statewide call at 7pm, Tuesday Aug 11 - sign up here.
They also have a campaign signup and toolkit; but these are national and not specific to Massachusetts.
Delete DoorDash!
Doordash, by their own admission, instigated an effort to push Congress to deprive residents of Washington, DC (already deprived of their votes in the House, the Senate and for the President) of their ability to set their own taxes. This would yet further weaken the majority African-American city’s ability to set its own course.
FreeDC, a wonderful grassroots organization, is asking you to boycott DoorDash, delete the DoorDash app, and let DoorDash know why.
